No B.S. Guide to Mickey's Not So Scary!

No B.S. Guide to Mickey's Not So Scary!

Let's cut to the chase...Halloween is almost upon us and Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is in full swing. However, the party only runs from 7pm to 12 midnight. Yes, you can get in early and trick or treating will be open, but the majority of the event's offerings will not start until 7pm. That only gives you 5 hours to conquer everything! Let me be clear....that is NOT enough time to do everything, but fear not you can still have an awesome time if you plan accordingly.

You're going to want to figure out what you value most. There are four categories of offerings that you'll get to experience...they are listed below.

- Food and treat offerings

- Meet and greets

- Entertainment

- Trick or treating

You can't go full throttle and hit every ride, every snack, every meet and greet and every show, there's just not enough time. However, you can still conquer the night. Here is what we did when we went to the Halloween party a few weeks back.

Our plan was simple, we reviewed these four categories and picked three out of four to accomplish. The goal was to experience doses of each "category" we chose. What do I mean by this? Basically, we had a list of 4-5 rides we wanted to go on, one food item we wanted to try, and four trick or treat trails we wanted to go through. That was our minimum. If we went on more that'd be great, but we first had to establish a baseline. After that we mapped out our night based on the entertainment that was offered.

EYC's Plan:

7:00pm Hit up the first treat trail and start riding rides - (it's the right of main street after you walk in)

8:30pm Food time - sit down and eat an event exclusive snack/food

9:00pm Rides and treat trails - we recommend the walkway from Tron to fantasyland (loads of candy spots)

10:15pm Firework show

10:30pm Tomorrowland rides - closest to main street for early parade arrival

11:15pm Boo To You Parade

12:00pm Hocus Pocus Show

We were able to go on almost every ride in the park. We also managed to see all of the wonderful entertainment the event had to offer. I tried the "Terrifyin' Twice Spiced Chicken Sandwich" at Cosmic Ray's. It was good, I'd give it a solid 7.8/10. The treat trails had some pretty long lines so be prepared to wait a little bit for the ones located in more popular areas of the park. Go through 3-4 of them and you're guaranteed to get loads of candy. The fire work show and "Boo To You" parade were the highlights of the night! The parade floats were amazing this year!

At the end of the day do what's right for you and your family/group when going to an event like this. Block out the noise of the youtubers and influencers that say you need to try everything there is to offer. That's not true. Most of the snacks are over hyped and not worth the extra cash so buy what you truly think you'll enjoy. Plan your night according to your interests and remember...if you're with the right people less is more. You may only get to check a few things off your list at Mikey's Not So Scary, but as long as you're with the people you love that's all that matters at the end of the day. We hope this helps you plan your night and if you're looking for last minute costume inspo check out our jersey collection....you can never go wrong being an attraction...cough cough...Buzz's Space Ranger Spin (Galactic Hero Jersey). use code "welcomeclub15" for 15% off your order of $30 or more! :)
